200g PACKET CAMEMBERT CHEESE [chopped]

180g BUTTER [softened]

2 CLOVES GARLIC [crushed]

1 TABLESPOON CHOPPED FRESH OREGANO

PLAIN FLOUR

1 EGG [lightly beaten]

¼ CUP MILK

PACKAGED BREADCRUMBS

OIL FOR DEEP FRYING

USING MEAT MALLET, GENTLY POUND FILLETS BETWEEN SHEETS OF PLASTIC WRAP UNTIL THIN. BEAT CHEESE, BUTTER, GARLIC & OREGANO IN A SMALL BOWL WITH ELECTRIC MIXER UNTIL JUST COMBINED. PLACE ONE-SIXTH ON THE FILLING EVENLY ALONG CENTRE OF EACH FILLET. FOLD IN SIDES OF FILLETS, ROLL UP FIRMLY, PLACE SEAM SIDE DOWN ON TRAY, COVER & REFRIGERATE FOR 1 HOUR OR UNTIL FILLING IS FIRM.

TOSS ROLLS IN FLOUR, SHAKE AWAY EXCESS FLOUR. DIP IN COMBINED EGG & MILK, THEN BREADCRUMBS TO COAT EVENLY.

JUST BEFORE SERVING, DEEP-FRY ROLLS TWO AT A TIME IN HOT OIL UNTIL COOKED THROUGH.

UNCOOKED ROLLS CAN BE FROZEN.
