Bridgetown to Geraldton

As per last post, we left Bridgetown and headed up the coast via Perth. Bellow are a few photos Christee-Lee took while driving thought the city.

While traveling through Perth we were over taken by a Ferrari, we tried to out run it but we were a bit fat. The Ferrari’s weight advantage gave him the edge to pull away.

Bridgetown to near Jurien

We are back on the road!

We left Bridgetown Caravan Park this morning and drove most of the day, we had a few short stops along the way before pulling up just short of the Jurien Bay turn off. The sun had started to set, so we decided to pull up for the night.

Bridgetown Part 8 – Donnybrook

We hope you all had a great Easter!

Bridgetown Caravan Park was booked out all weekend, so we met many friendly people, shared many tales over the odd beer or two. One Sunday we drove up to Donnybrook, about an hour north from here, where they had their bi-yearly apple festival. As part the the weekend celebrations, Donnybrook officially opened their new kids playground, the Apple Fun Park.

The Apple Fun Park is Australia’s largest FREE fun park with playground equipment to suit kids of all ages. For the adults there is even an exercise equipment area. Within the park there are several gas BBQs and ample shaded seating areas making it a great place to take the kids for a BBQ lunch. «—click here to read more—»

Bridgetown Caravan Park

Late last year, Brad and Sue Dowling purchased the Bridgetown Caravan Park, a few weeks before we arrived. The park was well run down and saw few visitors. Brad and Sue spent the first month restoring the residence so they had some where comfortable to live, and then started on giving the park a face lift. Brad and Sue are very likeable people, always pleasant and have a “nothing is too much hassle” attitude toward ensuring thier guests have a pleasant stay, along with thier hard work the park is improving in leaps and bounds, more people are booking in and thier efforts are being noticed. Often when we speak with locals in town, whenever we mention we are staying at the caravan park they comment on how the park has improved. «—click here to read more—»
